After last year, parents are again shifting the house in the township tomorrow. Unlike last time, I dont have anything emotional attached to this house except for one of the bedrooms having a beachview window. So next time I go for my year end holidays, I would be in a new place which I will call home.

Even though its a little more than a year, we shifted into the present house, all the times I dreamt about home, it was my previous home. The time and events would be the present one, but the home would be the old home. I guess, we get attached and used to the place where we have spent major part of our life, rather than the present one. The funny thing was all my bank statements were addressed to the previous address and Dad used to crib about having to go and collect it every month from the present occupants. After much reminders from home, I got it updated in the banks, but now, by the time the next statements come, we would have shifted and Dad would have to again go back and fetch them from the new occupants. Let me try if I can remind myself to update it today.

Another thing I usually make it a point is, to get used to the switches of all rooms in any place I go. I have this weird dislike for putting on and off every switch each time u want to turn on/off the fan/light. After parents shifted to the present home, I got used to all the switches by the third day of my stay. I like it when my fingers involuntarily press the right ones when I have to do so. Rather than the tick tack tick tack sounds trying all switches before you actually put on a single light or fan. So this time also I have something new to get used to and this would keep me busy for the first few hours.

I also hope there is lot of garden space in the new home. And my crazy wish is to have a mango tree in the backyard. I havent asked parents if there are any. They might have told me, if there was one. Hmm.
Bye-Bye present home.
